Chapter History

The Eta Tau chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha was installed on April 20, 1974 at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. We are the 164th link in the chain of Zeta Tau Alpha Chapters.

Since the start of 2016, we have received 5 awards at the annual Zeta Day. These awards include: meeting quota/total for recruitment, highly commendable GPA, major donator to the Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation, the Outstanding Collegiate-Alumni Relations Award, and outstanding community service. At Zeta Tau Alpha Convention 2016 in Phoenix, Arizona, our chapter was awarded with the prestigious Crown Chapter Award and Founders Club Award for raising almost $19,000 for our philanthropy. Through UNC Charlotte, Zeta Tau Alpha has performed very well at our annual Greek Awards. In 2016, Eta Tau was a finalist for 8 awards and received 4 awards including: Overall Excellence in Service, Philanthropy Project of the Year, Overall Excellence in New Member Education, and Overall Excellence in Chapter Programming. Eta Tau takes pride in our sisterhood, service, philanthropy, and academics.
